Client Collaboration
Client Collaboration
Choose the right Wesley channel for questions, documents, and client self-service.
Wesley separates client collaboration into three connected tools:
| Tool | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Client Work | A question or request that needs a status and conversation |
| Shared Files | A document library shared between the firm and client |
| Client Portal | The client’s own place to answer requests, upload files, review reports, and manage supported connections |
A typical question flow
- A reviewer finds missing context in Banking or another accounting workflow.
- The reviewer selects Ask client or creates a request from Shared Files.
- Wesley creates a recipient-scoped Client Work item linked to the relevant transaction when applicable.
- The client answers in the portal and may attach supporting files.
- The reviewer applies the answer to the accounting record and marks the work item Resolved.
Client Work tracks the request and its replies; Shared Files stores reusable documents. Use the original Client Work item to avoid sending a duplicate request.
Access is firm-managed
The firm invites and revokes portal users in Client Settings → Client Access. Portal users can accept an invitation, choose among clients they can access, manage supported client-authorized connections, and update their own profile, but they cannot grant themselves access to another client. Within a client, new requests may be limited to selected recipients.
Internal and extended firm members follow separate roles and permissions.
