Integrations

Integrations

Connect client systems, understand connection states, and choose the right setup or recovery path.

Wesley integrations connect a client book to bank feeds, accounting systems, payment processors, and commerce platforms. Open a client, then go to Settings > Integrations to see the integrations available for that client.

Connecting an app does not mean every record has already been imported or posted. After connecting, open its review or sync page when available and verify the resulting records.

Available integrations

AreaAvailable nowPrimary use in Wesley
Banking & BillingBank Feeds (Plaid)Connect bank and credit-card accounts and import transactions
Banking & BillingStripeSend supported A/R invoices and add payout context to deposit review
Accounting SystemsQuickBooks OnlineReview and synchronize QBO and Wesley accounting data
Accounting SystemsQuickBooks DesktopExchange reviewed data through Wesley QBD Connector
Commerce ChannelsShopifyAuthorize a Shopify store and expose its connection details
Commerce ChannelsSquareAuthorize a merchant for supported payout and sales workflows
Commerce ChannelsTikTok ShopAuthorize a seller account and expose its connection details

Shopify and TikTok Shop being Connected confirms the connection; it does not, by itself, confirm that historical orders, payouts, or settlements were imported into the client book. Verify the expected records in Wesley.

Coming soon

Bill.com, Xero, Toast, Amazon, Karbon, and Slack appear as Soon or Coming soon. Their detail pages describe the planned workflow, but the connection action is not available. Do not treat an integration request for one of these providers as a completed connection.

Xero-ready files can still be created with Document Conversion; that is a file handoff, not a live Xero connection.

Connect directly or ask the client

Firm users with the required client access can connect an integration from client settings. An active client-portal user can also authorize supported client integrations. The integrations page can email a secure portal link so the client connects the system they control.

The current client-connection request supports Bank Feeds (Plaid), Stripe, Shopify, Square, and TikTok Shop. QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Xero are not choices in this request picker; coordinate those setup paths separately from the relevant integration page.

Before sending a request, identify the exact institution, merchant, store, or seller account. A successful authorization to the wrong source is still the wrong connection.

Reconnect before you disconnect

Use Reconnect when access expired, permissions changed, or the page shows Needs attention. Reconnecting restores the connection while preserving existing client-book records and account mapping.

Disconnecting has different consequences for each integration:

IntegrationWhat Disconnect or Disable does
Bank Feeds (Plaid)Removes the institution connection and imported transactions and can remove related journals, opening-balance entries, and accounts created only for the connection. Closed periods or later accounting activity can block removal. This is destructive.
QuickBooks OnlineRemoves Wesley's saved QBO connection. Imported Wesley records and records already in QBO remain; disconnect is not an import rollback.
QuickBooks DesktopRemoves the Wesley connection. Imported Wesley records remain, and the QuickBooks Desktop company file is not deleted or rolled back.
StripeRemoves the Wesley connection. Existing Wesley A/R records, invoices already created in Stripe, and the Stripe account itself remain.
Shopify, Square, TikTok ShopRemoves the saved Wesley connection. Existing accounting records are not automatically deleted.

Always read the confirmation, finish or cancel active sync work, and export or capture the evidence you need before disconnecting.

  1. Confirm the client and source account or company.
  2. Connect or send the client a secure connection request.
  3. Verify the displayed identity and connection state.
  4. Choose the date range and records to review, when applicable.
  5. Compare before applying changes to either system.
  6. Review partial failures, duplicates, and period-lock warnings.
  7. Reconnect for access problems; disconnect only when the relationship should end.
