Firm Management
Run the Wesley firm workspace, coordinate clients, manage access, and review firm-level operations.
The firm workspace is the control center above individual client books. Use it for portfolio status, team access, time tracking, bookkeeping pace, billing, and firm-wide settings. Accounting entries and client-specific configuration remain inside the selected client workspace.
Before you administer the firm
Confirm that the workspace switcher shows the correct firm and review your role under Members. Owners and managers have full client access and the broadest administrative controls. Staff actions depend on their effective access; Extended membership adds further restrictions.
See Roles and Permissions before granting access or assigning external contributors.

Recommended setup order
- Open Settings and verify the firm name and firm-wide check posting policy.
- Add the logo, client portal color, and reusable report assets that the firm intends to use.
- Open Members and invite Internal or Extended members with the correct role and Staff default access.
- Open Clients and add clients individually or use Bulk create for client names.
- Complete each client’s required onboarding and assign accessible team members.
- Use portfolio queues, timecards, and Bookkeeping Pace during ongoing work.
Firm controls versus client controls
Use firm settings when a choice should affect the organization or every client, such as team membership or the check posting date policy. Use Client Settings inside a client book for that company’s information, integrations, assignments, portal users, audit logs, and critical actions.
Client assignments and portal invitations are not firm memberships. Changing one does not silently change the others.
